AKR1B10(Aldo-keto reductase family 1 member B10) IntroductionAldo-keto reductase family 1 member B10 is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the AKR1B10 gene. This gene encodes a member of the aldo/keto reductase superfamily, which consists of more than 40 known enzymes and proteins. This member can efficiently reduce aliphatic and aromatic aldehydes, and it is less active on hexoses. It is highly expressed in adrenal gland, small intestine, and colon, and may play an important role in liver carcinogenesis.

AKR1B10(Aldo-keto reductase family 1 member B10)-specific monoclonal antibody has been pre-coated in the wells of the supplied microplate.Standards samples and controls are added to interact with the immobilized
antibody. A sandwich complex is formed by additional anti-AKR1B10(Aldo-keto reductase family 1 member B10) antibody with HRP-Streptavidin.TMB solution is added to react with the sandwich forming optical signal measured by microplate reader.The concentration of AKR1B10(Aldo-keto reductase family 1 member B10) in the sample can be calculated by comparing the absorbance of the sample with the standard curve.
