Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described. This gene was previously referred to as ANGPTL2, HFARP, PGAR, or FIAF but has been renamed ANGPTL4.ANGPTL4 plays an important role in numerous cancers and is implicated in the metastatic process by modulating vascular permeability, cancer cell motility and invasiveness.
Human ANGPTL4(Angiopoietin-related protein 4) ELISA Kit Test methodThis kit uses sandwich ELISA to detect the concentration of Angiopoietin-related protein 4.Angiopoietin-related protein 4-specific monoclonal antibody has been pre-coated in the wells of the supplied microplate.Standards samples and controls are added to interact with the immobilized antibody. A sandwich complex is formed by additional Angiopoietin-related protein 4 antibody with HRP-Streptavidin.TMB solution is added to react with the sandwich forming optical signal measured by microplate reader.The concentration of Angiopoietin-related protein 4 in the sample can be calculated by comparing the absorbance of the sample with the standard curve.
